If you are a person who really loves your hobby, why would you not want to show it off in your home? This is often the case with scuba divers. When they are home, they are on dry land and away from the water they so love. So, as a way to compensate, often they will surround themselves with many of the underwater items they so miss.
If you are one of those people, here are a few ideas as a way to bring your love of scuba diving into your home.
Console Glass Table
There are plenty of specialty tables that will go perfectly in a scuba diving themed room in your home:
o Scuba Helmet Tables - You have likely seen one of those old scuba helmets in the movies or even in an antique shop. While they may not be used these days, they are still out there and some have come up with new ways to use them. One of those ways is to use the helmet as a part of the base in accent tables for your living room.
o Underwater Statue Tables - Want to remember what it looks like under water? Well, what better way than to see a representation that an artist has made into accent tables for any space. Renowned marine artists like Wyland have created beautiful sculptures and statues that show marine life, coral formations and other scenes from below the sea with glass tops to offer usable accent tables with beautiful underwater scenes.
o Aquarium Tables - The best way to stay close to the water is to bring the water to you. There are a number of aquarium accent tables out there that will literally let you bring the water into your room. While these pieces have tabletops, underneath, they are completely sealed aquariums that can be set up as either fresh water or salt-water tanks. Not only can you look in from the sides to see the fish and any other watery creatures you choose, but also many of the tables have clear glass tops so you can always look down on the fish as well.
Once you have selected the tables you think will work best for your scuba-themed room, you also need to make sure you add up all the extras that will complete the look of the room.
o Pictures - Make sure the walls have at least a few pictures of the undersea world. If you have been taking shots with your underwater camera, you should be using those pictures as the artwork for your walls.
o Displays - Collect shells or other items at the shore where you scuba dive most often? If so, you should show off your finds. There are plenty of ready-made display cases that can be easily set up with all the items you have gathered to remember the locations you have visited.
o Decorative Items - From sculptures to trinkets, there are plenty of items that depict the world underwater that can be brought into your home to complete the look and dress up any of the accent tables you have chosen.
